Long Overdue Update!
5 months ago – Thu, Nov 30, 2023 at 08:23:04 AM

About Timee

As the title suggests - this update is way overdue.

And that's on me as the creator.

As a team we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding. We understand that our communication hasn't always met expectations, but we're implementing a new system to ensure improved communication going forward. Recognizing the importance of transparent updates, we want to address this more effectively.

Print Copies

We've had a host of unexpected roadblocks, but this is no excuse for lack of communication. Myself and my wife, Kayleigh, will be personally managing project updates from now and keeping these lines of communication open.

So, where are your print copies of Gothic Horror and A Monstrous Escape?

Most of you received your physical copies ages ago.

However, some of you are still waiting for your copy of Gothic Horror and a Monstrous Escape.

Due to the unexpected roadblocks, we had to print these in Ireland. All I can say is thank goodness the printing company had US Letter as one of their standard sizes. Anyway, we've shipped boxes to our fulfilment centre in the US. For Europe and other parts of the world, we're going to ship the rest ourselves. We're currently printing postage labels and ticking orders off the list.

A picture of us organizing oursleves the other day.

Please excuse the mess, but we recently moved into a new rental for a few months.

We expect packages to start reaching people within the next week or two. However, being the holiday season, it could be the new year before all outstanding copies have reached their final destination.

We may be slow going, but we are working hard to bring this project to full completion.

As a team, we are delighted with the quality of the prints and so eager to get these into your hands.

Again, we can't thank you enough for your patience.

Chat again soon when everything is posted!

Cheers,

Paddy

🌊 July Update: They're here!
10 months ago – Thu, Jul 06, 2023 at 07:04:57 AM

What's in the boxes?

Two pallets of boxes arrived somewhere along the north coast of Ireland, and they are filled to the brim with copies of Mag of Holding: Breath of the Feywild and A Monstrous Escape from Mag of Holding: Gothic Horror!

When to Expect Your Copy

Paddy and Co are packing and shipping them ASAP, so if you're in the United States, be aware that it will take time to ship over the pond. Watch your mailbox over the next few weeks, and come back to leave a comment when yours arrives. 🙌

State of Affairs

Hey guys!

Thank you again for your patience. This was alluded to before, but I'm including a bunch more details and a look at the print proof of A Monstrous Retreat in the video below.

TLDR copies have been printed and are on their way.

The shipment will come to me directly next week. Then I will forward what is needed for the US fulfillment and other parts of the world. That should take around 2 weeks. Essentially, they will start arriving in your mailboxes in July.

Feel free to watch the video below where I babble a bunch and give a few more details.

Sidenote: In case you missed it, we've got a new marketing manager, Audrey Hughey. She's amazing! And she is going to schedule updates every 2 weeks from now on.

Take care,

Paddy

Printing Update

For those of you who already received Gothic Horror, I hope you're enjoying the book. For those of you still waiting, thanks you for your continued patience.

Good news is we finally received a print test copy of A Monstrous Escape and it's amazing.

There were a few minor issues we've tweaked and we've submitted it for print. It's currently in the queue. I don't have an exact completion date, but I should have something solid in a few weeks and my hope is that this is printed and on its way to you before the end of May.

Given that this is a slightly thinner book than what we usually make, the manufacturer recommended that we use heavier stock for the cover and interior. We're glad we did because despite being a smaller book it feels really sturdy and the print quality is outstanding.

I wanted to share a few shots of the test print so you can get an idea of what to expect:

We continue to push hard to get this over the line and with other projects being caught up things at Penny Dragon Games will move much quicker going forward.

Thank you again for your support, understanding, and patience.

Any questions, please drop them in the comments below so we see them. If you post them elsewhere there might be a delay in getting a response.

I'll have another update for you in April.

Cheers,

Paddy

P.S. We actually got this print a few weeks ago but I've been traveling for business and only got a chance to post about it now. Sorry about the lack of communication recently!
