Latest Updates from Our Project:

FREE Poster & Cover Reveal
over 2 years ago – Fri, Oct 08, 2021 at 06:43:08 AM

In the lead up to the Kickstarter, Stretch Goals didn't get the attention they deserved.

Following feedback, we've made a few adjustments you might like to know about.

First up, we'll include the monster poster free with all print orders and will provide a PNG for use with your favourite VTT to all Vampire Spawn backers and above.

We moved the STL files closer together, and as things are going, all STLs will be unlocked by campaign end!

We moved the 666 Adventure stretch goals closer together and reduced the amount. Though it's unlikely we'll hit those numbers this time around, there's always the next Kickstarter in November/December.

Speaking of which...Here is the cover reveal for Mag of Holding - Breath of the Feywild.

Well, it's a work in progress...but check out the awesomeness by Henrique!

Breath of the Feywild - Work in Progress

Thanks again for supporting Mag of Holding.

We've had a blast working on Gothic Horror, and I look forward to getting it over the line.

Layout work begins on Saturday, and the PDF will be ready in good time for Halloween. We aim to get the print out in tome for the holiday, but with shipping being how it is across the world...even within the US...that is uncertain at this point.

As always, I'll keep you posted on progress.

Until next time,

Keep Rollin'!

Prison, Secret Identities, & Novels!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Oct 06, 2021 at 12:08:45 AM

High Rollers gave us a shout out today. And I couldn't be more excited!

We're now north of $13,000

Thank you!

With Mag of Holding doing well, I've been thinking a lot about something lately.

Novels.

You see, I worked as a full time novelist for years before branching into creating D&D content.

In fact...

A little known fact...

I still write novels. I'm just not as fast as I used to be with everything else that's been going on.

I've written several bestselling series under various pen names. I used pen names because I had to protect my identity (and my family) once upon a time.

Another story for another day.

I started out writing science fiction because I felt that I didn't have what it took to write fantasy. Fantasy was my first love. I mean, I'd been reading it since my dad got out of prison, starting with Dark Moon by David Gemmell.

I later read a bunch of Forgotten Realms stuff like Dragonlance and always thought it was really clever how TSR wove novels into the mix. I couldn't for the life of me work out why WoTC didn't lean on novels more in recent time.

Anyway, I've been outlining a bunch of novels and novellas set in the world of Andovan, referenced in Mag of Holding, Aizendore's Vaults, and various other publications in progress.

One is a series of dark fantasy murder mysteries set in Minehelm. Another follows a group of adventurers as they fight to stop the return of a dark god.

But I have a question.

We use Kickstarter for our D&D supplements.

However, are you guys interested in fantasy novels?

I'd love the community to be a part of the "expanded universe" too. We could even create a bunch of limited editions signed copies. And funds raised might even stretch to cover audio books by a world class narrator.

That being said, are you guys even interested in such a thing?

We'll post a poll in the pledge manager, but I figure it would be worth asking while the campaign is running.

I would REALLY appreciate your thoughts!

Cheers,

Paddy Finn :)

Stretch Goal 3!!!
over 2 years ago – Tue, Sep 28, 2021 at 06:27:16 PM

Here we are on day one with our 3rd stretch goal in the mirror.

So for a little tease of the adventure that has just been unlocked we have a blurb of Bound by Blood by Ben Doherty

"Beyond the shadowed curtain of forests primeval, amid the mist-cloaked mountains, an ancient evil is imprisoned. A powerful curse, paid for in the blood of heroes, binds the vampire tyrant known in legend as the Red Lady to the lone standing tower of her ancestral keep. Within this cage of cold and silent stone, the Red Lady waits, cursed to live forever in a twisted, monstrous form, hungering eternal. However, her last remaining servant, himself doomed to live in immortal misery, enlists the aid of adventurers to free his mistress. Though these poor fools do not know the purpose of the quest they have been set upon, and the evil they will unleash should they succeed..."

For our next goal we will be unlocking the printable haunting table for use at your table to really send chills down your players spines...

Until next time

Cheers

Kyle

Stretch Goal 2!!!
over 2 years ago – Tue, Sep 28, 2021 at 12:13:59 PM

Holy Asmodeus!

No sooner had I posted update one, I had to jump in and write another! Aaaaaaaah!

I'm not complaining lol but I am really struggling to keep up here :D

We've hit Stretch Goal 2!!! Witch (pun intended) means you all get Magic Item Cards for everybody...in the back of the print edition for cutting out (if that's your shtick) and as a digital file for printing.

We've toyed with the idea of actually sending the cards out, but we haven't been able to find a reliable supplier yet.

What do you think? If we added physical printed magic item cards as a stretch goal in the future, is this something you would like?

Well...I'm almost afraid to see where we are after I finish writing this lol

A few samples of our magic items cards from Mag of Holding - Pirates & Seafaring that included Arcane Tattoos and Arcane Artillery!

Page 1 - Some had too much text to also include the image, but everything inside the book has images! We love our art!
We include backing for the "odd" sections for those DMs that want to go the extra mile for their players! We love you awesome DMs!!!

Cheers,

Paddy Finn
